Im having his party at a bowling,fun center. I thought cupcakes would be easier to pass out that cake. He's a typical boy and in to cars, sports etc. THANKS TEN POINTS

Make half of the cupcakes chocolate, vanilla, and then make some of them have a little toy on it like a boucysport ball(found at wall mart or a dollar store) a=or little tiny cars.

At a bowling alley you can design the cupcakes to look like bowling balls.
Chocolate will give the frosting a good dark colour then you can add blue food colour to make a darker colour I think. And poke holes in the icing, or paint on lighter spots, to show the holes in the bowling ball.

Look up sprinkles cupcakes on yahoo search and see if they have one in your area. They make all kinds of cup cakes. And u will melt wen u taste them. They’re so good
If not walmart has like 30 cupcakes put togeather to look like a huge football.

get ice cream cones and bake cupcakes as normal when cupcakes have cooled place in the cones and decorate with icing etc..These were a big hit at my sons b-day party!!! look at this website and check the picture out…

make all the cup cakes differant . like some with a football or base ball ect. then make some look like cars and other boy stuff.so that each boy can have a cupcake that is one of a kind. =]

My nephew just turned 8 and we had a football field made of cupcakes. you can create whatever you want but i thought the field of cupcakes was cool and he loved it.
